The old stories the game grows out of: the spirits, the tales behind them, and what the runes of Svarog mean.

Gloomscale boulders and the cap of invisibility
A cap of invisibility fell into the forest, a storm shattered the rock it landed on, and now the pieces hide whoever walks past. Some of them were poisoned.

Ivan's four skill runes: a sword, a dart, a bow and a wolf
Four broken stones carry Ivan's skills. Each one is named after a hero, a god or a weapon from the old tales, and each one changes how he fights.

The Firecap, the mushroom that shoots back
Get too close to a Firecap and its burnt cap starts throwing fireballs. It is a trap, a test of patience, and a sign of how far the curse has spread.

The Grey Wolf idol, where travellers rest
Wherever you find a carved wolf in Forgotten Eras, you are safe for a moment. The idols are the kingdom's resting places, and they remember an old bond.

The Leshy idol, guardian and trickster of the forest
The forest's master never shows his face in Forgotten Eras. He leaves a carved idol instead, and what it does to the path depends on what you did before.

The Morana idol, carved for the goddess of winter
Every spring, villages across the Slavic world drown a straw figure of Morana to send the winter away. In Forgotten Eras her winter has not left.

The Veela flower, a gift that carries risk
The vila of the Balkan mountains could bless a traveller or run him to death. Our Veela flower does both: it makes Ivan fast, and it makes him easy to see.

The Vodyanoy idol, where the water turns bad
Avena's father sleeps in the sunless depths. Above the water, a wooden idol with scaled shoulders tells Ivan the river ahead is cursed.

The pact, the book and the three threads of Veles
Before Ivan woke in the forest, the gods and the people of the Three-Ninth Kingdom made a pact. Here is the story the game stands on, and the old beliefs it grew from.
