What this site keeps about you
Very little, and only if you sign up for the newsletter. Last updated 30 October 2026.
Who is responsible
Behind the Hump, a sole proprietorship of Gorbenko Alexander, Giannitsioti 1, Larissa, Greece, GEMI 189164140000. For anything on this page, write to behindthehumpstudio@gmail.com or call +30 697 749 1159.
The newsletter
If you sign up, we keep:
- your first and last name and your email address;
- when you signed up and when you confirmed, and if you leave, when you left;
- which form you used, on which page, and the language of that page;
- the wording you agreed to;
- a one-way, salted hash of your connection's IP address, which shows that a real request was made and cannot be turned back into the address.
Why: to send you news about Forgotten Eras, which is what you asked for. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), and you can withdraw it at any time.
How it works: nothing is sent until you click the link in the first email. That double opt-in proves the address is yours. When you confirm, one welcome email follows, with how to ask for a key to the game on IndiePump.space. Every email after that carries a one-click way off the list.
Where: in a file on our own web host's server in the European Union, outside the public part of the site. It is not shared with, sold to or uploaded to any mailing service. When you confirm, the studio gets a short note with your name, your address, the form you used and the time, in its own Gmail inbox, so a person sees each new reader; Google keeps that inbox for us under its terms. If anything else ever changes, this page changes first, and you will be told before your address moves.
How long: confirmed addresses stay until you unsubscribe. An address that never confirms is deleted after 30 days. When you unsubscribe, we keep the address marked as unsubscribed so it is never written to again; ask and we delete it completely.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it erased, by writing to the address above. You can also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority at dpa.gr.
Cookies and storage
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. The fonts are served from this site, not from Google.
Your browser keeps one entry for this site, named fe-newsletter, so the sign-up box does not ask again for two weeks after you close it, or ever after you sign up. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Things that load from elsewhere
- Videos come from YouTube, through its privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com address, and only after you press play. Before that click, nothing is requested from YouTube.
- The IndiePump card in the corner loads from indiepump.space, a site run by the same owner, and lets press and creators ask for a review key. It stores one entry in your browser so it does not open again for a week.
- Links to Steam, Kickstarter, Discord and social networks take you to those sites, under their own privacy policies.
